At first glance a monogram is no more than a simple initial or combination of 2 or 3 initials representing your name, family name or even your business name. However, a well thought out monogram transforms itself into an emblem, a symbol or a logo which reflects a specific style, personality or business purpose. It all depends on the specific design elements used to create the monogram. Specifically, these elements vary from the fonts used, any decorative objects made part of it, as well as, the color, the frame if any and the placement.

Girly Monograms

Monograms that are girly often use thin serif, script, handwritten or calligraphy fonts, as these have more movement and are more delicate. In addition, these monograms are often white, pink and light gold, sometimes decorated with flowers, sparkles and glitter of any color.  Girly monograms are usually not framed; but when they are these frames have delicate lines, botanical references and soft edges.

Monograms with this style make beautiful gifts for her, for any occasion, or special event.  Here are a few gift ideas for your best friend’s birthday, your mom’s mother’s day, your sister’s newborn baby girl or your co-worker’s secret Santa Christmas gift. Best of all, you cannot go wrong with a personalized mug, tote, blanket or keychain.  Moreover, these are practical and useful gifts; and you get to choose the price point that is most comfortable for you. More importantly, your friend, mom, niece or co-worker will know how thoughtful you were and how special they are since you took the time to have it made.
