Are we delusional? Can we choose to be peaceful?

Are we delusional? Can we choose to be peaceful? These are the two question most people ask themselves before seeking meditation classes.

How do we know we are delusional?

Does the same thought or thoughts come to mind? they just pop in, like intruders they disturb your peace of mind. Whether it is something that happened, or something someone said, or something you wish you had said or done differently, or something that has not happened yet, but your are preparing for it. Do you play different versions of these over and over and over again. Are you spending hours on end on this matter, perhaps decades old or perhaps a scenario that never happened. Why does our mind do this? It is so annoying, it is so time consuming and bottomline unhelpful. Not productive at all.

How do meditation classes help us find out if we are delusional and help us choose peace

Meditation classes are like a training session for your mind. With each meditation session you train your mind to do something intentionally for a little longer than the day before.  Instead of building up your muscles to do 100 sit-ups or 50 push-ups or 10 pull-ups; the objective is to hold a thought or a state of mind that is beneficial for you. Each time, for a longer period of time. It may be a couple of seconds longer than the day before, simply by focusing on something that brings you love, peace, confidence, motivation, you name it.  The goal is to practice, with effort and determination for those two seconds to become minutes, hours, all day, a life style.

Living an intentional lifestyle, motivated by purposeful actions combined by focused meditations. It may seem simple to master this state of mind, but it requires a lot of determination, patience and especially strength of character. Yes, this is a long video, hopefully you find it relaxing. While you watch this video, while the painting unfolds, I invite you to assess the quality of your thoughts….are they positive, are they filled with love, what emotions do these thoughts bring you? Can you get a hold of these thoughts? If these thoughts and emotions are beneficial to you, can you enhance them, make them flow? Imagine a pure, loving and peaceful energy surrounding you, protecting you, becoming you. Be the calm and the peaceful.
